I don't remember when they first started appearing, but I've been getting these weird popups at the bottom corners of my internet browser. They appear in any browser that I use (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer). The one at the bottom left is square in shape, but seems to be affected by AdBlock, as there is still a red x (close) button at the top right corner where the ad would be, but the ad itself doesn't show up. The second popup appears in the bottom right corner. It usually takes the form of a facebook-type message, as though someone was chatting with you, and even makes the sound. It usually 'advertises" things relating to the page I'm on ('buying a used public library', for example.) This type can be closed. The other type that pops up in this corner is rectangular and contains 'Chitka' on the ad somewhere. This one cannot be closed. Sorry for the long detailed explanation, but I would like to know how I can rid myself of these popups. They appear on most webpages I'm on and are quite annoying. Any help will be greatly appreciated :) more

Okay, I recently started playing Mass Effect on Steam. It's an amazing game. I totally love it. However, I have been having a problem. There's some sort of Pc Optimizer that keeps spamming pop-ups and minimizing the game. This has happened before with games such as Skyrim and Portal 2. However, after clicking out of the pop-up, I would click the minimized file and would resume the game. However, with Mass Effect, it would quit me out. Fortunately, the autosave allowed me to continue on for hours without any problems. This changed today. When the usual pop-up came up and I had to restart Mass Effect, something different happened. THe loading screen froze. It stopped completely, however you could still hear the background noise and music from where it left off. I had to ctrl+alt+delete and log off to get out of it. I've tried everything to fix it, including restarting the computer. THe only thing that works is letting it be for hours at a time and then trying again, only for the PC Optimizer to pop back up and start the whole thing all over again. It doesn't do it for other games. I played FTL also today and it worked just fine. Why is it doing this? What can I do about it? PS also a minor problem. I want to play Portal 2 community test chambers, however the other day the wifi went out. It's since been fixed, but I still can't get the community puzzles. How can I fix this? more

I keep getting groups of 3 security alerts popping up and I get the options of :Details, Remove, Get Expert Help (Which I am NOT doing because I have to pay). I click remove each time, and when I click remove 3 times, there is a short pause and then a group of 3 more pop up one after another. 2 cases appeared in the quarantine, which I deleted. I cant find the file so I can delete it directly, and when I press remove on the pop up it seems to have no effect. so my computer broke a while back (virus), and my brother fixed it. he re-installed windows seven ultimate and that made the computer crap itself (its not that the computer cant handle it, the computer is a high performance laptop). so when he re-installed windows after reformatting the hard drive it took about 10 minutes to boot up and it took 30 seconds to react when you clicked on something. so it was obviously a bad install. i now got my windows 7 home premium disk and re-re-installed windows. that took about 2 hours to complete. now its working fine but it takes about 5 minutes to boot up. dont know what the problem is considering i reformatted the drive. now that its all good to go and play games with my friends.... it doesnt show connections to the internet. i went into network and sharing centre --> network connections but it doesnt show wireless network here. so i cant enable it. ive tried holding Function and pressing F3 (wireless button) but that doesnt do anything. i dont know what to do. ive looked on oher forums but i believe that nobody see has my problem. so i came here to ask exactly what is happening and see someone has a solution. its annoying me the amount of work i have put into this computer to keep it going for the past year... its broken about 3 times before this and each time the guys who i bought it off dont do anything till the last minute which is extremely annoying. plus i think they tried to scam me because they said that because its broken so many time ans that they keep having to fix it, that they will start charging us instead of doing it warranty. now thats a pretty foul thing to tell a customer, since its not the customers fault, the fact that the computer crashes after 2 months because they put in the same hard drive that we told them to replace because its obviously a dud hard drive. so when i got my computer back it took 2 days... 2 DAYS! till it broke. windows was asking for a serial key and then it went super slow then crashed. so i fixed it my slef and now tis come to this. can someone please help?! Voting Question: I have advanced system care ultimate 6 with anti-virus/malware. Seeing malware and virus files.?

Ok let me explain. When I go to the "Care" section and do a scan, the first thing it does is malware removal. I look at all the files as they go by and have noticed some words that have me nervous. I see "trojan", "backdoor.frauder" "trojan.win32.agent" "trojan.win32/vundo" "trojan spy" a few different adware. Now I figured maybe ASCU6 couldn't get rid of any of this so i tried IOBIT"S Malware Fighter it didn't get rid of this, finally I uninstalled it and tried what I heard was the best MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Pro when I did a full scan with that it took care of two malwares. Are these files that I am seeing when i do the Advanced Scan normal? Do I have anything to worry about? According to three different softwares, I don't. Will someone please tell me what to do or what program I need to get. Hopefully I am overreacting and don't need to do nothing at all. Sorry for making this so long, just wanted to give you the full problem.Okay the first answer I got was not really satisfactory. If I have a rootkit virus is there anything I can do to verify it is a rootkit virus? Now how do I get rid of this rootkit? Is there any program you recommend? The guy who did this first answer obivously doesn't like IOBIT. I was bought a macbook pro retina for my 50th birthday. I was delighted as it has a lovely screen, however I have NEVER owned an apple product before and am a bit slow getting used to the system.
